Most people believe that Pyro is incapable of emotion; in “Meet the Pyro” a lot of the mercenaries seem to be unsettled or even FEAR the Pyro due to the uncertainty of their sanity- Whether or not they’re aware of their dissociation is due to the PyroVision Goggles is unknown. Pyro is aware of their teammates awkwardness and sometimes uses it to their advantage to be a trickster as well as be surprising, whether that means genuinely being nice or saving their team from certain doom.Miss Pauling in her contract voicelines seems to speak to Pyro as if they were a child, and this wouldn’t be too far of stretch to assume that this is due to their mental state. While underdeveloped, they are surprisingly mature despite everything against them. The PyroVision Goggles have the unlisted side effect of altering one’s mental state but this can be reverted with the proper medical attention (Which luckily for Pyro post-canon, does get professional help). Softer voices just help them focus more, but don’t degrade them- They will notice.The one thing that should be noted is that even if they can be a killing machine, they refuse to harm children or small, defenseless animals. Like children and animals, Pyro is extremely curious about almost everything.

There’s a lot that no one really even knows about the Pyro, either due to them not remembering or no one really asking. Some files on them do mention a few things such as:
Growing up in an orphanage, but then escaping with a friend who Pyro only remembers being named James. James had become September’s (Pyro) guardian for a while before the both of them got caught up in gang related activities; mostly selling drugs from what they could remember. Most of their life was suppressed due to the trauma regarding events such as James’ death. Though during their time in this unknown gang, September had gotten into pyrotechnics which is why their job as a mercenary was perfect for them.Yes, September was bullied a lot as a child for their “weird” behavior, at first they tried their best to ignore it until James came into the picture, showing them how to defend themselves. James was not a nice kid, and it could be argued that James had manipulated September into becoming who they are now, but I don’t think James really knew the extent of what the young pyromaniac was capable of.At first, they were hesitant due to still being shaken up, but Mann Co. Had a solution, the PyroVision Goggles helped them dissociate while getting the job done, and it was that way for years until Gray Mann took over Mann Co.
(Post TF-Comics)It’s not entirely sure when Pyro officially retired from being a mercenary, but as soon as they did; they seeked professional help in order to recover and be properly medicated for their mental illness, while it wouldn’t completely fix the damage Mann Co. had don’t to them; it was enough to feel accepted into society, no longer wearing a gas mask- But still trying to hide their face as much as possible due to the burns on their face. They eventually got a job at a comic book store and remained there for years until disappearing completely without a trace. No one knows if they had died when they did disappear.

Co and through the years, many lives were lost before Pyro was alone, they travel a lot and keep fire-based items to set walkers on fire. It gets to the brain eventually.Overwatch: Just your regular mercenary, but in the Overwatch setting. Nothing special.Apex Legends: No one really knows where Pyro comes from, but they're scary & it's better to ally them in the games than be their enemy. If you've seen them in action, you'll know why.

- It's heavily implied that they're not fully human, possibly something more.. Alien?
- They seem to live in an abandoned garage space.
- They don’t like mangoes.

- Since they were an orphan & not adopted, they gave themselves the last name of Kinesis. Yes, it is a pun.
- Despite what others might think, Pyro is somewhat aware of what's actually going on around their surroundings- Especially post canon when the PyroVision Goggles are disabled.
- They seem to really get along with almost every animal- Except bears, they HATE bears, only because of the association with Smokey the bear.
- Pyro owns a stuffed Balloonicorn which is their comfort item.
- It’s rumored that they wear their pajamas to work under that fireproof suit.
